| 2027 House of Delegates Nominations |
OverviewThe House of Delegates is the ultimate authority over ASHP professional policies, which express the Society's stance on important issues related to health-system pharmacy practice and medication use in society. The House of Delegates meets annually at the ASHP Summer Meetings and virtually in March and November, where it reviews policy proposals that have been approved by the Board of Directors. Most professional policies are initially drafted by ASHP councils or the executive committees of sections and forums. See more on the HOD on the ASHP website here. Nominations and ElectionsAny Active Pharmacist member of ASHP in Maryland is eligible to run and serve in the House. Each term is three years. Nominations will be accepted through Monday, November 2, 2026 and the election will follow. The two candidates with the most votes will serve in the Maryland Delegation for a three-year term. The first year they will serve as Alternates and the second two years they will serve as Delegates. In the event of a tie, a run off election will be held. Self-nominations are accepted! MSHP provides limited reimbursement to offset the cost of attending the regional House of Delegates meetings and/or the ASHP Summer Meeting, but delegates will be responsible for the remaining cost associated with serving as a Delegate. Please note - the information collected in this nomination form will be used on the ballot. If you are nominating someone else, our office will reach out for the information the nominee would like listed. If you are self-nominating, please draft the information as you would like it to appear on the ballot. |
